We were excited to have our garden educator Ms. Wendy Cox share about the program at our schoolwide association meeting last week.

  Intellectual Athlete wants to bring their Play Based Resilience to Holmes After School program. The program combines sports, play, breath work and mindfulness to improve performance and combat anxiety.

Our community has noticed an increase in unsafe traffic practices. Please ensure you are NOT-

  • Stopping in the middle of the intersection to drop off/ pick up students.
  • Making U-turns in the middle of the street.
  • Blocking neighbors driveways. 
  • Blocking the lane by pulling aside another car to chat.

Open to all K-12 students!

We invite all San Diego students K-12 to dazzle us with their creativity interpreting this year's theme: "Toward a More Perfect Union: The Constitution in Times of Change."

Please invite the local students you know to enter! There are cash awards for first, second, and third-place entries. Plus, we will display all winning and runners-up posters and videos on the SDCBA website. First-place winners will also be recognized at the 2022 Annual Awards Ceremony & Celebration of Community Service in May.

Entries will be evaluated by SDCBA members based on originality, creativity, and impact. Contest entries are due April 15.

 BOOKS AND BUNDTS

 Holmes PTA and Nothing Bundt Cakes is rewarding local students for reading!

  • This program is for students Pre-K through 5th grade.
  • Students will receive a free bundtlet cake for every 400 minutes read each month. They must record minutes read and have a parent signature.
  • Students will also receive a certificate and have their picture taken!
