Our Holmes and Clairemont community came together in a BIG way to construct our new Garden Education Area! With the help of over 50 volunteers we built a fantastic space for our students AND cleaned up our campus. Thank you to all of the families  and community volunteers for joining us. One community member commented, "

The Holmes Community is so warm and strong.  Thanks for embracing the Sage Garden project.  This morning's Garden work Day was a huge success and the turn out of all those family members working together just blew me away!"

We couldn't agree more!

Students, Family, and Friends

November 29th - December 23rd

Help support your school, your classroom, your environment, and your community! Participation in the Goodwill School Program will provide training and jobs for your community. Your participation will be rewarded* with supplies and educational tools for your school and classroom!

We are looking for some help moving a commercial fridge donation from a personal residence to our school cafeteria. The fridge will be used to house all our fresh produce generated from our garden and cooking education programs! If you have the resources or the manpower to help this happen please email: president@holmespta.org

Are you looking to get more involved? We are looking for an Arts Attack Coordinator to support parents and teachers in our PTA sponsored Art program.  No art experience needed! Primary responsibilities include maintaining and coordinating supplies in the Arts Attack room and acting as a liason. Email president@holmespta.org if interested!

Who has Spirit? We do! We just don't have spirit wear....quite yet.  COVID delays have our orders backlogged. Stay tuned for a new spirit wear design launch and exciting online store!!!

Aisea N. (Pope), Owen C. (Darling), Beatrice H. (Powell) and Evan H. (Tse)

Let's give one last round of applause for coming together to raise just over $20,000 during our PTA Fall Fundraiser!!

As you hear your children sing and play recorders, admire their beautiful art pieces, listen to them talk about the new school gardens and hear about the fun in-class enrichment activities, know that your fundraising efforts help support these opportunities for our kids. Thank you so much for participating!

For every $50 donated by a family, each of their children received an entry into the opportunity drawing.

Have a Facebook account? Join the Holmes Elementary PTA (San Diego) page! It's a closed group for parents of current Holmes students only! It's just another way for you to stay connected to our school and be up to date on the latest and greatest news and activities!
