We just want to take a moment to thank everyone for an amazing festival on Sunday! Despite all the challenges we faced while planning this year, it ended up being our favorite one yet.

A huge thank you to all the volunteers who made it happen — the YMCA crew, CHS, Marston, UCSD students, our neighbors and families, and all the students who pitched in along the way. An extra special shoutout to Ms. Thania on cotton candy, Coach Mike, Mrs. Fechner, Ms. Nadine, Ms. Taylor, and Mr. L for coming out to help on their day off — we truly appreciate you!

We’re able to keep this event free for our students because of how generous and supportive our community is through fundraising. Our Jog-a-Thon is coming up this Friday, and the funds raised go directly toward events like this festival, as well as programs like our garden and cooking classes which holds a special place in our hearts.

Thank you again to everyone who came out on Sunday. Congratulations to our pie-eating contestants and opportunity drawing winners! We’ll see you at our next event — the End-of-the-Year Party in the Park
