We recently found out that the estimated expense for this past year's Junior Museum and Zoo sessions of Engineering and Science are going to be closer to $12,500 for this past year. We had budgeted $10K in the PTA budget and although we can afford the excess, we do not yet have our General Association approval for the excess. According to our by-laws, we need to get association approval for any excess >$750.
So, I'd like to call an emergency association meeting at Carnival next Wednesday for 5 minutes at 11:20 to quickly discuss and vote on approving an additional $2500 to be allocated towards Palo Alto Junior Museum and Zoo expenses for the 2017-2018 school year.
I'm hoping that our Carnival volunteers/attendees exceed the quorum numbers and that we can have a quick vote at Carnival. Please plan on joining us at 11:20 very briefly for this important vote!
