Quick update - unfortunately, Luna Dance will no longer be holding class at Hoover on Fridays.
And for grades 3-5, we are excited to be welcoming Palo Alto Children's Theater back to Hoover this fall. They rotate among elementary schools and come in every two years.
I’m pleased to announce the Hoover outreach play for this season: The Reluctant Dragon, an adaptation of Graham Greene’s beloved dragon classic . The Director is
Michael Jorizzo, professional theatre educator and performer.
This version of The Reluctant Dragon is written by Kathryn Schultz Miller; the publisherArtReach Children’s Theatre Plays. Below is brief synopsis of the play:
This innovative new script is lively, fun and fast-paced; full of comedy and audience participation! Widget and his pal Hairytoes discover a dragon lurking a cave. Their secret is exposed by neighborhood bullies, the Grody Gobsters. Suddenly the entire town is whipped into a fury and the cry goes up: "The Dragon Must be Slayed!"
The production dates are December 7, 8 & 9. Auditions are scheduled for TuesdayOctober 10th, and Wednesday October 11th. Rehearsals will be 4 times/week after school but specific days will be dependent on casting.
