Hoover Families,

Watch your Friday Folders! Your student will be receiving a Hoover ID card that will work as a Student Asset Card at the Palo Alto City Libraries if you opted in. Hoover Kindergarten through third grade students will be receiving their ID cards in their Friday Folders, along with instructions for activation. Fourth and Fifth Grade students will receive their ID cards during their Library Class visit this Thursday. We will activate these cards together in the Hoover Library.

Here is your new Student Asset Card brought to you in partnership with Palo Alto City Libraries and the Palo Alto Unified School District.

This card is your Palo Alto City Library Card and gives online access to many digital resources as well as the books in the library collection. If you chose to opt-in to the program,* you need to register your card and you will be set to go! Watch this short video on how to register your card: https://bit.ly/2OflcAb

Follow these simple steps: Go online to the city library site: https://library.cityofpaloalto.org/

Select Log In/My Account from the top menu.

Select Log In/Register

Log in with the number on your student ID card and the temporary pin of 1234

Create a username and confirm your personal information

Change your 4 digit PIN by selecting: username | My Settings | PIN

You are now ready to explore the fabulous resources in our city library collection!
