Dear Hoover Families,
Just a very quick note to close out the year.
We have just a few more days in 2017 and I wanted to encourage those that haven't yet had a chance to contribute towards the direct appeal, to get their tax-deductible contributions in before the end of this week (Thursday is a minimum day district wide). Our ask has been $150/child, held steady for many years despite rising costs across the board. And those funds go directly towards school support - classroom supplies, library books, PE/Music/Art supplies, PAJMZ Science & Engineering visits for every class, etc. In total, our budget this year for direct support towards your children's school experience is $53K so each of your contributions is deeply appreciated and helps ensure we don't have to send out shopping lists with students at the beginning of the year or charge tickets to events like International Festival, Invention Convention, etc. Please submit an online contribution here or fill out this form and submit it with your check at the office.
And, don't forget to use your California Pizza Kitchen Philanthropizza card at Stanford CPK before January 15 and, do all your holiday shopping at smile.amazon.com (look for '1040 Herbert Hoover Elementary PTA') for really easy and fun ways to give back! And, extra cards are available in the office...please pass them to your friends.
