Help Needed for 2019-2020 School Year
Dear Huff Parents,
As we enter the home stretch of the school year, we want to thank you all for your tremendous support through volunteering and financial support! Your donations to Huff PTA have provided field trips, enrichment programs, teacher reimbursement for classroom supplies, Kinder PE, Science Night, and much much more.
As your PTA Board begins planning for the 2019-2020 school year, there are still some important volunteer roles that still need filled so we can continue supporting our students and our amazing Huff staff.
We are looking for volunteers to lead or co-lead the following important programs:
- Fundraising Chair(s): Charged with identifying and planning at least one large fundraiser. For many years, the Silent Auction Party has been our primary fundraiser, but the PTA Board is open to fresh ideas (such as a walk-a-thon, online auction, or anything else you can dream up!).
- Book Fair Chair(s): Charged with scheduling the Scholastic Book Fair, coordinating with Scholastic and organizing parent volunteers to run this fun event that supports the Huff library and books in our classrooms.
- Yearbook Chair(s): Work with a yearbook vendor and other parents to create the 2019-2020 Huff Yearbook and organize yearbook sales thru the school year.
Can you (and some friends) step up to help? Any of these roles could be handled by an individual parent, but it'd be even better to have a team of 2 or more! Without parent volunteers to lead these efforts, they may not happen next school year. In prior years, our fundraising Auction accounted for half of the overall PTA budget. Without a Fundraising chair and fundraiser, the budget may be limited in how we can support our staff and students. Please consider volunteering for one of these roles.
