Multi-Cultural Day Celebration- Thurs 4/5: Share your culture!
Thu, Apr 5 8:00am-2:00pm
Huff Blacktop
Hello Huff families!   Huff Multicultural Celebration is coming up on Thursday, April 5th 11:30 am - 1:30 pm (It is a regular minimum day, so children will be dismissed at 11:55 if they need to leave after school)
Did you know that our community represents OVER 30 Languages and cultures?!
Our goal is to display as many of those wonderfully diverse cultures as possible, and highlight for the students how we are both different and similar... for example, you can google over 170 different types of "bread" around the world in different cultures.
We would love your help so that our kids can see, taste, and be exposed to all of our family backgrounds!
Please sign up if you can do any of the following:
1. Bring "bread" from your culture for kids to see and taste (examples: Indian Roti, Mexican Tortillas, Japanese Milk Bread, Portuguese flatbread, French baguette, etc. etc. )--- please cut into small 20-30 servings
2.  Bring traditional or popular "drinks" from your culture for kids to see and taste--- 4 to 6 bottles to be served in small dixie cups
3.  Bring traditional clothes/costumes from your culture (either kid size or adult size) for a fashion show
4.  Bring a traditional "top" (spinning toy) or "shuttlecock" (hacky sack or footbag that you kick) from your culture
5.  Volunteer to help us set up, serve, assist, or clean up--- we need your  help!
6. Provide traditional cultural music!
If you have questions, contact either Susana Morales ( or Hera Hong-Lee (
Thank you for your participation!
(PTA will provide napkins, cups, serving utensils as needed)
