Dear Hugo Reid Families,

Many of you have benefited from Mr. Santos' generosity and care for our school community over the years.  He watched out for our students' safety and often purchased gifts for the students out of his own pocket.  I spoke with Mr. Santos earlier.  I am sad to report that Mr. Santos is currently in a care facility in Baldwin Park, and he will likely not be returning to Hugo Reid. Due to his medical condition, he has lost 50 pounds and his spine has shrunk 3 inches...it is heart breaking... He will be moving in with his daughter in Los Angeles and giving up his place in Monrovia.

I am setting up a monetary collection so that the Hugo Reid community can show Mr. Santos how much we appreciate his devotion to Hugo Reid. We are his second family and he has dedicated so much to our students. Please help to make this a memorable holiday season and show appreciation to someone who has been a pillar in our community.
