PARENTS NIGHT OUT

26th Annual Imai PTA Fundraiser  

 

The big day is finally here – Parents Night Out, our biggest event of the year! We are super excited to see everyone and can’t wait to share what we’ve prepared for you this evening.

So WHY do we emphasize the importance of this fundraiser, you ask?

Each year, the Imai PTA budget is ~$150k, which means we spend $300+ PER STUDENT. Tonight's event is our LARGEST fundraiser of the year, bringing in >50% of our operating budget (the % is even greater, when you consider corporate matching). This year, our Parent's Night Out fundraising goal is $80k. Thank you for your generosity and support!

Your contributions fund:

  • STUDENT ENRICHMENT: The largest proportion of our budget is spent on student enrichment - Field trips (+ transportation); school-wide activities like Run for Fun, Imagineerz; class-specific offerings like TK/Kinder PE, Kinder Art-in-Action, 5th Gr Leadership; Classroom technology subscriptions like BrainPop, Reflex Math; Academic support like Parent U Math Night, etc.

  • i-READY: Access to i-Ready lessons for K-4 ($16,500 for school license) is paid for by the Imai PTA. This gives students access to personalized lessons at their level in academics. (i-Ready for 5th grade is paid for by the district.)

  • TEACHER SUPPORT: In addition to school-wide enrichment, each teacher is allotted $800-$1000/year to fund supplemental classroom supplies to enhance their teaching. An additional $5k is spent to support our library, and $7500 for Staff Appreciation 

  • COMMUNITY BUILDING: Thanks to PTA, our community has a great time bonding over fun events like School Dances, Multicultural Potluck, 5th Grade Promotion, and our End-of-the-Year Eaglefest Carnival.

 

Thanks to your generous donations (of finances and volunteer efforts), we build our vibrant Imai school community, because we believe that this foundation creates an environment where our students and families can thrive and feel supported, academically and socially.
