Set-up for the Book Fair is coming along smoothly! We appreciate the parent volunteers and Linden Tree staff who’re getting the Imai Library ready for shopping tomorrow. Here’s everything you need to know.

🗓️ Dates and Hours:

✍️ Special Book Signing—THURSDAY!

• Imai parent & author Jasmine Fang will be at the Book Fair to sign her new book, Beneath the Same Round Moon: A Mooncake Festival Story, from 4:00–5:00 PM on Thursday, 9/17. Stop by to purchase a copy, have it signed, and shop the Book Fair before the Back to School Picnic! Pre-order the book by September 14 here: https://pci.jotform.com/form/262425448067158

💳 Prepaid Gift Cards

• Parents are encouraged to purchase gift cards for shopping at the fair in lieu of cash/credit card if you cannot attend with your student. Get yours by 6PM TODAY via Linden Tree’s portal.

• Prepaid gift cards will be kept at the registers and can be retrieved when you/your student checks out.

• You can also have your student bring cash (increments of $5 preferred) to the Book Fair to purchase a gift card on-site. 

• Gift cards with unused funds at the end of the fair will be returned to families and can be used at the Linden Tree store in downtown Los Altos. Funds never expire.

📃 Teacher Wish Lists

• Show our teachers (and their classroom libraries) some love by purchasing items from their wish lists!

• Select a book or two from the teachers’ bins. You will be provided a bookplate to write your name and stick it on the book before delivering to your teachers.

• Gift cards for your teachers are also a great way to show your support!

🙋 Volunteers 

• 🚨WE ARE IN NEED OF VOLUNTEERS to keep the book fair running!🚨

• Some shifts are still without volunteers and we may have to close the doors early if we cannot find help.

• We’ve added a few 30-min shifts to accommodate schedules, so please help if you can!

• Please take a look at the Konstella sign up sheet to see if you’re able to help with any shift(s).

💬 A Few Final Reminders:

• Leave backpacks outside of the library.

• No food or drink inside.

• Help us keep displays tidy, and do not remove any books that belong in the library.

• Accepted forms of payment: Credit/debit cards, Apple Pay/Google Pay and other tap-to-pay methods, cash, Linden Tree gift cards, and checks as a last resort. Sorry, no Venmo or Zelle.

• Let a Linden Tree associate know if there’s a title you wish to purchase but have run out.

• Be respectful to other shoppers.
