It’s time to bring the Imai community together! We cordially invite you to our first in-person PTA Association Meeting of the year.

Whether you’ve been part of the PTA for years or are just curious about how you can support our students, we would love to have you in the room. This is a vital meeting where we will be finalizing our leadership for the next school year and sharing some exciting updates on what’s ahead for the spring.

Agenda Highlights:

  • 2026-2027 PTA Board Elections

    • We’ll be introducing the new board nominees and voting them into office—and we need you there to make it official!

    • Nominees as follows:

      • President - Judy Wong

      • Executive VP - Somyata Malik

      • VP of Membership - Cindy Ohara

      • VP of Membership - Komal Shirore

      • Secretary - Ashveena Dighe

      • Treasurer - Christina Kim

      • Financial Secretary - Vrishali Wagle

      • Auditor - Sangeeta Singh Puryear

      • Parliamentarian - Erica Cronin

  • Amendment to Standing Rules 

    • The executive board will propose a change to Standing Rule 16 of the association's bylaws.

    • The current text reads: Committee Chairs – The president shall appoint each chair of a committee and may appoint an assistant to any of the chairs, subject to the ratification of the executive board. All committees shall follow the rules and procedures prescribed in the California State PTA Toolkit.

      • The term of office for a chair shall be one year. A chair may serve an additional term if appointed by the president, approved by the executive board, and ratified by the association. No chair shall be eligible to be appointed to the same committee position for more than two consecutive terms.

      • The proposal replaces the italicized text above with "A chair may serve additional terms if appointed by the president, approved by the executive board, and ratified by the association."

    • This language change removes the term limits for the appointed committee chairs, allowing for more flexible arrangements year-to-year. The proposal will be voted on at the meeting.

  • Guest Speaker: Patty Love (Budget Advisory Committee Member and Imai parent) will present the BAC’s MVWSD Budget Guide: How Our Schools are Funded and Supported.

    • Brief Q&A session at the end of the presentation.
