GET READY TO SOAR!! The PTA is so excited to welcome everyone to the Walkathon this Saturday. The planning committee has been working hard to ensure the process is smooth, enjoyable and memorable. Here are a few reminders:

 

📅 Event Date: Sat. March 14, 2026

🕤 Time: 9:30AM – 1:30PM

💫9:30AM: check-in begins for TK-1

💫10:30AM: check-in for all grades

(all walkers must check-in at the MUR to collect their Lap Cards)

📍 Location: Imai School Field

 

📋 REGISTRATION

  • TODAY 3/9 is the FINAL DAY to register online ($14 including T-shirts).

  • Walk-in registration is limited, and price increases to $20 (T-shirt not guaranteed).

  • Registrations made by 11:59PM today will be counted towards the popsicle contest.

  • Current Top 3 highest % registered classrooms:

    • 91% - Ms. McCullough, 2nd

    • 86% - Ms. Chesley, K

    • 82% - Mr. Mello, 4th

 

📈 FUNDRAISING

  • The walkathon IS A FUNDRAISER this year!

  • Our goal is to raise $20,000 to continue supporting lots of school programs. Every donation counts. 

  • How can you help? You should have an email from donate@paybee.io with a link to your student's fundraiser–please share it with friends and family. (or set up a personal fundraising page if you haven’t already done so)

  • There are no obligations to meet the goals you set, but the more you raise, the more prizes the students will earn.

    • Raise $50 → get a Free Recess Pass

    • Raise $100 → get a pack of Glow in the Dark Stars (AND recess pass)

    • Raise $250 → get a Supernova Snack—Astronaut Ice Cream (AND the previous prizes)

    • Raise $500 → get a Sparkly Glitter Lamp, a chance to spray whip cream on Principal Siam at the Walkathon, AND everything else mentioned!

🙋 VOLUNTEERING

  • SIGN UP ON KONSTELLA

  • The event may not be ready if we do not get enough volunteers during setup! We need your help with setting up the balloon arch, incentive tables and snack tables in the morning (8:45-9:30).

  • There are also other slots to be filled—check people in, hand out prizes, post-event tear down, etc. Please take a shift, especially parents of older kids!

 

👕 T-SHIRT DESIGN WINNER

  • We had a hard time picking just one winner from the 40+ incredible entries.

  • The winning design was submitted by Charlotte H. (Gr 1, Rm 6). Congratulations Charlotte! The Imai community will be proudly sporting your T-shirt at the walkathon and beyond!
