NEWS & REMINDERS
from
IMAI ELEMENTARY PTA

December 2, 2022

Welcome to December! Holidays are coming and it's a busy month. Read below for more details on a few bits of community news:

  • LAST CALL to sign up for school musical "The Lion King Jr."
  • COAT DRIVE to share the warmth with Mountain View families
  • GIVING TREE wrap-up for Castro Elementary
  • SPRING WALKATHON planning starting soon: would you help?

SCHOOL MUSICAL COMING SOON: A few spots are remaining, and rehearsals start in 10 days... Starting Arts and Imai Elementary will present The Lion King Jr., this year's school musical! Open to students in grades 3-5. Check this online flyer for more info; register soon as space is limited!

SHARE SOME WARM COATS: Brrr! The days have been cold, and we're kicking off a coat drive for families in Mountain View who need the extra warmth. Now thru early January (but the sooner the better!) drop off new or gently used coats for kids or adults in the school office. Thank you!

GIVING TREE FOR CASTRO: Thank you to all who attended our international potluck and knocked out the entire wish list of items for Castro Elementary! In case you lost the QR code or forgot details about what you signed up for, you can review the wish list here. If anyone else still wants to donate, Castro could use additional reams of white copy paper or bulk packs of breakfast snacks (granola bars, etc.). Deadline for delivery is extended to next Friday, Dec. 9.

SPRING WALKATHON PLANNING: Can you help make our 2nd annual walkathon even better than last year's? We need about 15 people (and one co-chair) to serve on the walkathon planning committee. We've split down the roles from last year, so it will be even easier for everyone. Email president@imaipta.org before Dec. 9 if you'd like to join or just learn more about the roles we need filled.

Have a great weekend!
