COFFEE WITH THE PTA: Fri, August 29, 7:40-8:30am

• Tomorrow is our Coffee with the PTA event. This is a great opportunity to learn about the association, ask questions and get to know the team that serves our school community. Join us in the staff lounge!

PTA MEMBERSHIP and DONATION DRIVE (+ Popsicle Contest):

• It's that time again for the PTA MEMBERSHIP POPSICLE CONTEST!!! The classroom with the highest percent of PTA members by Sep 19th wins a popsicle party!!

• Why join and donate to the PTA? To show your support, advocate for your children, and vote at PTA meetings. Each year, the Imai PTA spends ~$300+ per student ($150K annual budget) to provide enrichment programs, field trips, teaching materials, community programs, staff appreciation, and much more! • Suggested donation is $200 per child, but any amount is appreciated!

• How do I join?

For new members: 

• • Go to this link and click “Join with email”

  • Enter your name, email, and then create a password. Click “Sign up with Email”

  • For membership type, select “Parent/Guardian” or another appropriate option 

  • Check out with credit card. Membership is just $12 (+$1 convenience fee).

To renew your membership:

• • Log into Totem with your email and password

  • Renew your membership

• How do I donate?

  • Via Totem: When you become a member or renew your membership, you can add a donation

  • Via employer giving portal (e.g. Benevity): Search for “Amy Imai Elementary PTA”, Tax ID:77-0492242, and don’t forget to request a match!

  • Via check payable to “Amy Imai Elementary PTA”  
    

• How are PTA Membership doing so far?

  • Total PTA members: Currently at 125. Join today so we can bump that number up to 300+!

    1. Mr. Mello (4th grade, Rm 15) - 45%
       

    2. Ms. Chesley (Kinder, Rm 2) - 43%

ROOM PARENTS:

• Many classrooms are still in need of room parents. Contact your teacher to let them know you’d like to help out!

FALL AFTER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT CLASSES - starting next week

• Registration is open for After School Programs for Sep - Dec 2025. The list of classes can be found here: www.imaipta.org → “After School” Tab

• *NOTE* Several programs including Magic Tricks, Let’s Play in Spanish, and Mad Science are currently at risk of being cancelled due to low enrollment. Sign up now or spread the word to keep these programs running!

• For classes that are full, please register for the waitlist to indicate interest and they may add capacity (Snapology waitlist is now closed).

• Join the Konstella → Social Groups → After School Care Needs for real-time updates and quick answers from the parent community.
