Welcome to fall, Imai community! As autumn officially rolls in, we’re shifting into high gear with a season full of community-building events. • TODAY is the final day to join or renew your PTA membership to help your child’s class win that popsicle party!

For new members:

To renew your membership:

• How do I donate?

• Via Totem: When you become a member or renew your membership, you can add a donation

• Via employer giving portal (e.g. Benevity): Search for “Amy Imai Elementary PTA”, Tax ID:77-0492242, and don’t forget to request a match!

• Via check payable to “Amy Imai Elementary PTA”  

• Via Paybee: At any time throughout the year, you can make a contribution via our Paybee platform.

SUPPORT MVEF

• Donate or Pledge by 9/30 to support the Mountain View Educational Foundation’s (MVEF) Back-to-School Campaign!

• What impact does your gift make? Donations from the community support a well-rounded education for ALL 4,600+ MVWSD students.

• Their 2026-2027 fundraising goal is $1.4M and the suggested donation is $1,200 per student (or a recurring gift of $100/month).

• Donate Online, Corporate Matching, or Stock/RSU Giving

HALLOWEEN COSTUME SWAP

• Are your kids in need of a “new” costume, or do you have costumes that they have outgrown sitting at home? Our Costume Swap is the perfect solution to refresh your kids’ costumes while helping the environment.

• Donate what you can. Take what you need. You do not have to donate in order to take one!

• Collection period Oct 12–16: bring your donations to the labeled bins inside the school office

• Swap days Oct 22–23: browse and choose by the front gate immediately after school until 4pm

• Keep sets in bags or hangers, and small accessories in ziploc bags to help us stay organized.

• We accept:

• ✔️Clean, gently used costumes from baby to teen sizes

• ✔️Accessories such as hats, masks, capes, and props

• ✔️Family-friendly items

• ❌Scary masks, weapons, etc.

• ❌Opened or used makeup

TRUNK OR TREAT

• Mark your calendars for a spooktacular night! Join fellow Imai families and staff on Friday, October 23 from 6:00–8:00pm for Trunk or Treat. Our school parking lot will transform into a festive walkway of boo-tifully decorated car trunks, games, and, of course, plenty of treats for the kids! 

• You can get involved by decorating a trunk, donating candy, or joining in on the fun with the whole family! Dress up in your favorite costume and enjoy a safe, community-filled evening.

THE 27TH ANNUAL PARENTS’ NIGHT OUT – PTA Fundraiser & Auction

When: Friday, November 13, 6:00-11:00pm

Where: Levi’s Stadium

Who: Imai Parents, Staff and Alumni (this is an adult-only event)

The big party is around the corner! We are busy preparing for the return of our annual party. This is a truly special event, a great way to raise money for our school, and an opportunity to sign up for events that will help you build a community with other Imai families. We need all of you to make this event a success!

• What is Parents’ Night Out? It is Imai PTA's biggest fundraiser of the year held at Levi’s Stadium. It is a FREE event (food, drinks, and entertainment all included!) plus there will be a live auction, a silent auction, and a large number of hosted experiences available for purchase.

• What kind of items will be up for bid? Fun grade-level activities featuring your kid's favorite teachers, Imai staff and their classmates, Principal for a Day, Family Movie Night, adults-only Tacos and Tequila tasting, fun challenges, and much, much more!

• We need everyone's help to finish planning and to make the party a success. What can you do?

• HOST a party, event or experience that other Imai families can sign up to attend. This can be an event for adults, kids, or families. You host the event and decide how many people can attend and what the appropriate fee is, and members of the Imai community will sign up to participate, which raises money for Imai AND builds our school community. The event can be small and casual, or large and fancy. It's completely up to you! Your auction co-chairs can help walk you through the process, set you up with other families that are willing to co-host events, and provide more info about other events that are already in the works. Please email them (Liza Hoyne, Kamal Naran and Nidhi Doshi) at auction@imaipta.org and they will be happy to help!

• DONATE for a silent auction item! Do you have a great item for a silent auction you're willing to donate to Imai, or know someone who does? Do you have a timeshare or vacation property you're willing to donate a few days at? Access to a special event (e.g., sporting event, concert or performance) or a wonderful skill you'd be willing to share with the Imai community? We need your help! If you have an item or an event you want to include in the auction or want to get involved in helping to plan it please email auction@imaipta.org.

• REGISTER and COME to the Parents’ Night Out party for adults only on Nov 13th—enjoy a night out with your fellow Imai parents and teachers making this event a success. You'll be glad you did!
