BACK TO SCHOOL WEEK

Thank you to all the families who came out for Beautification Day to prepare our school for a successful start of the academic year. It’s wonderful to see students and families come together to serve your school and teachers!

 

BACK TO SCHOOL REMINDERS

  • Mon. August 10 (5-6 pm): Orientation for Parents of New TK & Kinders - If you are new to Imai or know someone who is, there is an orientation session for parents at school. Held in the MUR by Principal Siam.

  • Tue. August 11 (8:30-9:30am): Orientation for Parents of New Grades 1-5 - Held in the MUR by Principal Siam.

  • Tue, August 11 (3-4pm): Meet & Greet and PTA Popsicle Party - Drop by school to say hello to your new teachers! And, stop by the PTA table for popsicles and more information on membership and how to be involved with the Imai community.

  • Wed, August 12: First Day of School - Minimum day - dismissal at 11:55am  

  • Thu, August 13: Normal Thursday Minimum day - dismissal at 11:55am

  • Fri, August 14: Normal day schedule

    • 8:15-9:15am Principal's Welcome Back Coffee in the MUR

  • For TK students, see instructions from your teachers/Mrs. Siam

 

KONSTELLA REMINDERS

  • Please place your students into their classroom on Konstella. This helps parents and teachers in your classroom communicate with each other.

    • On a computer: Log into Konstella.com → Click on your name at the top left → Select "your children" and then, for each student, "Join Classroom" to place your students in their respective rooms.

    • On the Konstella App: Click on the settings symbol at the top left → Select “Your Children” and then, for each student, “Join Classroom” to place your students in their respective rooms.

  • If you know a family new to Imai, invite them to join Konstella. 

    • Direct them to https://www.konstella.com/cd/XCAZGL → Enter email address → Click “Join as a parent” → Check email for an invitation from Konstella, and Click “Join Imai Parents // Imai PTA”.

  • For help with navigating Konstella, reply to this email and one of us can assist.

 

SAFETY REMINDERS

Help us keep our school zones safe with these important reminders when driving students to/from school:

  • Slow down - Stick to posted speed limits in active school zones.

  • Put the phone away - Keep your eyes on the road and watch for pedestrians and bicyclists.

  • Obey staff - Always follow their instructions when in the drop-off zone.

  • Respect parking zones - Do not park in the red zones, double park, or block the Kindergarten and neighbors’ driveways. You may not leave your car unattended at the drop-off zone at any time.

  • Plan extra time - Expect increased morning and afternoon traffic around schools.
