Last Chance for Campout Signup, Eaglefest Next Week, Last General PTA Meeting on 5/13

We had a successful Staff Appreciation Week, thanks to your participation in showering our staff with all the wonderful goodies and keeping the staff room stocked. (Special shout out to Melinda and Mayra for coordinating everything this week!)

Also, congratulations to all the students who participated in last weekend’s Children’s Business Fair. 500+ attendees were blown away by the creativity and quality of their products and services. Thank you for supporting and nurturing our young entrepreneurs!

THIS WEEK’s HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Last Chance TODAY to sign up for the Great Imai Campout! 

    • Event is tomorrow, Sat, 5/9 3:30pm to Sun, 5/10 10am

    • Your family gets to camp OVERNIGHT at school by pitching a tent on the school field. Together, everyone will play games, sing songs, enjoy dinner and breakfast, have some fun, and enjoy the creation of epic new memories.

    • Don’t miss out on a beloved family tradition and SIGN UP today.

  • EAGLEFEST is next Fri, 5/15 5-8pm and we are super excited to see everyone!

BUT....we also need your help as we are at risk of having to cancel our bounce houses due to lack of parent volunteers.

    • We need to fill 65 more shifts before Wed in order to make sure we can provide a safe and fun experience for our kids, especially for the inflatables. We are hoping EACH family that attends will take one 45 minute shift. If we can't fill the spots, we will be forced to reduce the number of available inflatables and activities.

    • Can you PLEASE help us ensure we can keep all activities open for the full 3 hours? (And if that's not reason enough to lend a hand, each volunteer gets a FREE cotton candy voucher!) VOLUNTEER SIGN UP

    • If you have high school kids who would be interested in volunteering to help with our Face Painting event, please contact Cindy Omi at eaglefest_02@imaipta.org.

    • Karaoke at Eaglefest - there are currently ZERO sign-ups and we want to hear everyone sing! Don’t be shy and sign up here to guarantee a time to sing!

    • Do you love to bake? Consider donating baked goods for our much loved Cake Walk. Cake Walk goods sign up here

  • Earth Month Bingo Popsicle Contest: It’s a tie! Congrats to Rooms 10 and 11, who both got 70% participation and will all get popsicles. And thank you to everyone who participated - let’s keep up the good work and continue to be kind to our earth!

  • PTA General Association Meeting: Wed, 5/13, 7-8pm

    • This will be our final meeting of the school year. Join us as we summarize our achievements and budget, and get a preview of what’s in store for next year.

  • Staff Room Restock: Keep those snacks and beverages coming to fuel our staff till the very end! Suggested items here or bring items of your choice. Vendor deliveries (e.g. Costco, Amazon) will be ok as long as they’re BETWEEN 7:30AM AND 4PM, M-F.
