WALK-IN WEDNESDAY TOMORROW, AUG 31: We encourage families to consider walking or biking to their classroom. It's an opportunity to meet fellow parents, get to know your child's peers, and say good morning in person! As you leave at 8am, stop by the PTA table (outside front gate OR outside back gate on Carol Ave.) to say hello, visit with others, and enjoy some coffee and donuts!
PTA MEMBERSHIP AND DONATION DRIVE: Our school relies on us! Will you join and donate to Imai PTA to support all the programs and activities that we provide? Membership is $12 per adult, and we suggest a $200 donation per student (but any amount, more or less, is welcome). Visit our Membership page to join and donate online anytime. Got questions? HELP REFRESH OUR SCHOOL LIBRARY: We extend a warm welcome to our new school librarian, "Ms. Alisa" (Alisa Stutzbach). While we were sad to see Mrs. Kalb retire last June, we are so excited to have Ms. Alisa on board! She is also an Imai parent and has tons of great ideas, and she could use some parent help to get things up and running.
See the Konstella sign-up sheet for ways you can help her over the next two weeks, prepping the library for the return of student visits. In early September, she will also be seeking recurring volunteers to help with classroom library visits. Keep an eye open for your room parents.
Finally, Ms. Alisa is also seeking a few items for donation to the library. Check out the google sheet with items you could provide to improve our library. Thank you!
PROJECT CORNERSTONE READERS NEEDED: Project Cornerstone is looking for volunteer readers (about 1x/month), particularly for rooms 4 and 18 (2 readers each) and rooms 8, 11, 12, 15 and 16 (1 reader each). If you'd like to learn more, email cornerstone@imaipta.org and/or join our meetup at Cooper Park this Thursday, Sept. 1, 5:00-6:30pm.
BOOK FAIR: The Scholastic Book Fair is coming back to Imai in late October! A volunteer information meeting will be held soon after Labor Day. Stay tuned for more info coming soon.
IMAI PTA AUCTION PARTY: It's our biggest night of the year! Keep the evening of Saturday, October 1 clear for our big PTA fundraiser and party, outdoors at Levi's Stadium.
We need parent help to sponsor and host events/parties through the year that we can sell at the auction. More details coming soon! Got ideas or questions? Email auction@imaipta.org.
