THIS WEEK’s HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Imai Elementary Children’s Business Fair: Sat, May 3 from 9am-12pm

    • Support student entrepreneurs by shopping at 50+ booths offering unique student-created items & games support student entrepreneurs

  • FINAL DEADLINE for Yearbook: Have you ordered your yearbook yet? 

    • Order here by Sun, May 4 to ensure that it arrives in time before school ends. You don’t want your kid to miss out on signing each other’s yearbooks at the end of the year. Cost is $30 + tax (but the memories are priceless!). See Imai PTA’s Yearbook page for more details

  • Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week on May 5-9: Click here for a reminder on what to bring each day. And, you’re encouraged to bring treats and tokens of gratitude for teachers aides and instructional assistants, librarian, front office staff, custodian, Principal Siam, PE/Music/Art teachers, Yard Duty, cafeteria workers, and anyone else who you appreciate at school each day.

    • Mon: Flower

    • Tues: Card

    • Wed: Drink

    • Th: Garden plant

    • Fri: Candy, chocolate, fruit

    • Any day - Help re-stock the staff break room with donations of bulk snacks, drinks, paper plates/bowls/napkins/forks/spoons. Let’s keep our staff well cared for to finish the year strong! Drop off at the front office.

  • EAGLEFEST is next Fri, May 16 (5-8 pm): Flyer is attached, Karaoke sign-up here. Volunteer sign-ups coming soon! 

  • Destination Imagination (DI) is a new enrichment opportunity coming to Imai next year—a fun, hands-on program where students in 3rd through 5th grade work in small teams to solve creative, STEM-based challenges. (To learn more about DI, click here.)

    • We are seeking parent volunteers to serve as Team Managers. The more parents we have to help, the more students can participate. It starts in the fall and ends with a tournament in early spring. Training and resources are available; no specific skills or experience are required.
