  • It's that time again for the PTA MEMBERSHIP & DONATION DRIVE!!!

    • We encourage all Imai supporters—parents, students, siblings, grandparents, aunts & uncles, staff & teachers—to join the PTA. Every membership helps support our students, school programs, events, and the amazing experiences that make Imai Elementary special.

  • What does my membership do and why donate to the PTA?

    • Join us to make your voice heard, vote on what matters most, and help make key decisions that enrich our school. Each year, the Imai PTA spends ~$300+ per student ($150K annual budget) to provide enrichment programs, field trips, teaching materials, community programs, staff appreciation, and much more! See link for more details.

Things to Know about the Book Fair:

  • Hours: Refer to above

  • Special Hours:

    • Our youngest students (TK & Kinder) can shop with a parent/caregiver exclusively from 1:30–2:30pm on Tue. 9/15 and Wed. 9/16 before the rest of the school is dismissed.

    • Extended shopping hours 5–7pm during the Welcome Back Picnic on Thu. 9/17.

  • Special Book Signing—Thursday!: Our very own Imai parent and author Jasmine Fang will hold a special signing of her new book Beneath the Same Round Moon on Thursday 9/17 from 4–5pm in the Imai Library. Stop by to purchase your book and have it signed, and shop the rest of the Book Fair before the Back to School Picnic.

  • Prepaid Gift Cards: Make shopping easy! Parents are encouraged to purchase a Book Fair gift card instead of sending cash or a credit card with your child. Order by 6pm on 9/14: https://www.lindentreebooks.com/imaifall26

  • Teacher Wishlists: Your teachers will get a special preview of the book fair and the chance to pick out a few books for their wishlists. We encourage you to buy a book or 2 to help them grow their classroom collection!

  • Volunteers: We need volunteers to make the Book Fair happen! Thank you if you’ve already signed up to loan a table and/or take a shift. However, we still need more parents to chip in during the book fair shopping hours! Please sign up for a volunteer shift here.

PTA ASSOCIATION MEETING: Wed, Sept 9, 7-8pm

  • We cordially invite you to join our first association meeting of the school year.

  • It will be held virtually on Zoom - pre-register to have the Zoom link and meeting materials emailed to your inbox before the meeting.

  • On the agenda: upcoming events, treasurer’s report, budget approvals and voting

  • Per our bylaws, only dues-paid members can vote. Another reason for you to join or renew your membership if you want to have a direct impact in the community!

WELCOME BACK PICNIC: Thu, Sept 17, 5-7pm

  • Bring your food and come hang out with other families while the kids spend the evening playing foursquare, bubbles, chalk, or on the playground. And, if you need more reasons to come…

    • Stop by the PTA table to learn about upcoming events and how to get involved in supporting your child’s education.

    • We will be distributing the NEW IMAI T-SHIRTS during the picnic—all currently-enrolled students get one for FREE. You can also pick up your adult shirts if you pre-ordered one.

    • The Book Fair will be open. This will be your last chance to shop so swing by the library to check it out!
