Can you believe we’ve already been in school for a month? Read below or check our website for important announcements!

  • PTA Membership Drive (and Popsicle Contest): Join PTA today! Contest ends Sept 23.
  • PTA Donation Drive: Consider adding a donation when you join the PTA. And, if available, request an employer match to double your contribution!
  • PTA General Meeting: Wed, Sept 20 at 7 pm (on Zoom): Registration link to be sent next week

PTA MEMBERSHIP DRIVE (and Popsicle Contest):

Why join PTA? To show your support, advocate for your children, and vote at PTA meetings 

How do I join?

For new members: 

  • Go to this link and click “Join with email”
  • Enter your name, email, and then create a password. Click “Sign up with Email”
  • For membership type, select “Parent/Guardian” or another appropriate option 
  • Check out with credit card. Membership is just $12 (+$1 convenience fee).

To renew your membership:

  • Log into Totem with your email and password
  • Renew your membership

Anything else? Yes, the classrooms with the highest percent of PTA members by Sept 23 win a popsicle party! 

 

PTA DONATION DRIVE:

Why donate? Each year, the Imai PTA spends ~$300+ per student ($150K annual budget) to provide enrichment programs, field trips, teaching materials, community programs, and much more! See link for more details.

  • Our donation goal this year is $40K (+$15K in corporate matching)
  • Suggested donation is $200 per child, but any amount is appreciated!

How do I donate?

  • Via Totem: When you become a member or renew your membership, you can add a donation
  • Via employer giving portal (e.g. Benevity): Search for “Amy Imai Elementary PTA”, Tax ID:77-0492242, and don’t forget to request a match!
  • Via check payable to “Amy Imai Elementary PTA”

PTA GENERAL MEETING on Wed, Sept 20 at 7 pm: All parents are invited! Come learn more about what decisions the PTA makes, what’s in our 2023-2024 budget, and how you can be involved. Registration link will be sent next week. 

 

IMAI AUCTION on FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 3: Get ready for a fun evening and the chance to bid on (or host) some exciting parties and prizes! See last week's (TK / K) or this week's (1st-5th) Friday Folder for the AUCTION INFO SHEET.  We are eagerly seeking donations from parents as party hosts, classes, performances, etc.

KONSTELLA: If you haven’t yet, please place your kids into the correct Konstella classroom. This helps with teacher and room parent communications.

  • Directions: Log in to Konstella → Click your name in top left corner → Click on “Your Children” → Click the “Join a Classroom” link in the Classroom section → Assign your child to the appropriate classroom
