It was a blast to see all of you soar through the tracks at the Walkathon! We hope everyone enjoyed the day and their time spent with the community.

THIS WEEK’s HIGHLIGHTS:

• PTA ASSOCIATION MEETING: Wed, Mar 18 from 7-8pm in-person at the Imai Staff Room. Everyone is welcome to attend. Please register here, so we can plan for materials and refreshments.

  • On the agenda:
    

    • 2026-2027 PTA Board Elections + Standing Rules Update: Come meet and vote in next year's PTA board (We need a minimum # of attendees to reach quorum, so please come!)

    • MVWSD Budget Guide: How Our Schools are Funded and Supported (guest speaker: Patty Love, Imai parent and member of Budget Advisory Committee) + Q&A
      

   

• WALKATHON Recap: Hope you had the chance to connect with old and new friends, and the joy of seeing kids get excited about exercise, prizes, and reaching goals!

  • We had 323 walkers participate and have collected over $10k from fundraising.

  • THANK YOU to everyone who chipped in to make this event a success! It takes a village to move tables, set up the track, make a balloon arch, mark a lap card, pass out slime, cheer on a fellow student, handle the snack table, clean up trash, and much more. We couldn’t have done it without the help from all the volunteers. Special thanks to our stellar Walkathon committee - Kashyap, Ashveena, Carmen, Farah, Judy, Mona, and Priyanka! 

  • Raffle Prize winners will be notified within the next few days.

  • Walkathon Feedback: If you have ideas on how to improve this event for next year, or if you would be interested in joining next year’s planning committee, please let us know by filling out this form.

• ART SHOW VOLUNTEERS needed to set up for Open House

  • Our art teacher, Ms. Tessie, could really use some help, as each student will be showcasing at least one piece of art work, so there is A LOT to install! Please consider signing up for one or more of the assignments to help get this art show ready! You can still sign up even if you cannot make the entire duration—any amount of help is appreciated.

• YEARBOOK COVER DESIGN CONTEST

  • ENTRIES ARE DUE MON. 3/23!

  • If your student has not submitted their cover designs, please do so before the deadline in order to be considered for the contest. They can drop off designs in the front office.

  • Submission guidelines can be found on the Imai Yearbook page.
