Parents Night Out Thanks, After-School Program Updates, PTA Gen Meeting 11/15

We’ve started the 2nd trimester, the clocks are turned back, and the holiday season is starting. And there’s lots going on at Imai! Read below to find out. And check our website to stay in-the-know for upcoming dates

  • Parents Night Out: A big THANK YOU to all those who attended this past Friday for the annual Imai Fundraiser. Special thanks to Auction Committee - Liza, Kamal, Rim, Marcela, Winston, Nidhi, Nivi, Sandeep, Leo, Ling, Dhwani - and many other volunteers for all their hard work in making this event a fun night and a a fundrasing success!

    • After School Musical Theater - The Little Mermaid Jr - starts Dec 4. Register today!
    • 1-on-1 Basketball starts Jan 18 - Registration coming soon
    • Girls on the Run starts March - Seeking VOLUNTEER COACH
  • PTA General Meeting: Wed, Nov 15 at 7 pm (on Zoom); registration link to be sent this weekend 

PARENTS NIGHT OUT: A huge THANK YOU to the Imai community and to those who were able to join us on Friday for the annual Imai fundraiser and Auction. It was wonderful to see you in person and to meet so many new people, and we also succeeded in raising money to support our PTA.

  • If you weren't able to attend the Imai auction in person, or attended but have some FOMO over that last item you didn't sign up for, you're in luck! There are still remaining spots available at some events (for kids, adults, and families!) , and we will be opening up online purchasing next week!  

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM UPDATE: We will have some new programs for winter and spring sessions. Here is the updated list of After School Enrichment classes. Check often for new programs!

  • After School Musical Theater, The Little Mermaid Jr at Imai - Starts Dec 4! 
    • Open to all 3rd - 5th Graders, Only 60 Spots Available.
    • Cost is $385. Scholarships available, email Arline Siam, asiam@mvwsd.org

  • 1on1 Basketball - Starts Th, Jan 18th (11:55 am - 1:15 pm). Registration coming soon.
  • Girls on the Run starts March - Seeking VOLUNTEER COACH
    • Parents of 2nd-5th graders: We can only run this program if we have one more volunteer coach. If you are interested or have any questions, please contact 5th grade parent, Sheetal Shah, sheetalbshah@gmail.com.
    • Description: Girls on the run is a fun, life-changing, after-school program for 3rd to 5th grade girls. (2nd grade girl can join if parent is a coach). The 10-week program teaches girls life skills such as confidence, how to be a good friend and how to stand up for themselves and others, while inspiring them to be joyful, healthy, and confident by using a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running. 

PTA GENERAL MEETING on Wed, Nov 15 at 7 pm: All parents are invited! Come learn more about what decisions the PTA makes, what’s upcoming for the school year, and how you can be involved. Registration link will be sent this weekend.
