Welcome to November, the dedicated month for counting our blessings and sharing them with others. This month encourages us to prioritize giving thanks and, more importantly, giving back. Join us as we focus our energy on appreciation and acts of kindness throughout the community with some opportunities below.

THIS WEEK’s HIGHLIGHTS:

• Parents Night Out Fundraiser and Auction: The event is one month away! See below on how to register, sign up for hosting, and ways you can be involved.

• Multicultural Night: Th, 11/13 at 5-7 pm in Imai MUR (See Imai Gazette and email from Jose Carillo for more details!)

• Winter Clothes Donation Drive: Clean and gently used adult, children, and baby winter clothes can be donated to the Imai school office through Fri, 11/14 (See Imai Gazette for more details!)

• Holiday Gift Card Drive: We are asking for gift card donations for the holidays. The gift cards will benefit Imai families in need first, and the rest will be handed out to Mckv (homeless) families in the district. We are asking for Safeway, Target, Walmart or Costco for families to be able to purchase groceries. Please email them to Principal Siam at asiam@mvwsd.org or bring them to the office.

• *NEW* Attention Google Employees: The Google Holiday Giving Campaign is from Nov 10-21, 2025. Google offers $400 per employee to give to a nonprofit of their choice.

• Please consider donating to the Amy Imai Elementary PTA (Tax ID: 77-0492242) and/or Mountain View Educational Foundation (MVEF) (Tax ID: 77-0006770).

• The IMAI PTA FUNDRAISING AND AUCTION PARTY is on Saturday evening, Dec 6th, at Levi's stadium. It is free to attend, including free food, wine and beer. It’s a lot of fun! We are also compiling our catalogue of events so stay tuned.

• Have you RSVP online yet? Pre-registering saves you time when you check-in and helps the organizers with attendance estimates.

• On-site registration and check-in begins at 5:30pm and bidding starts at 6pm. RSVP today to avoid the line. We would really love for you to come! Here are some more FAQs about the event.

• If you cannot attend the auction and still want to bid, register so you can obtain your bidding number in advance and designate a friend (bid by proxy) to submit for you. After the event, any “pay for party” slots still available will be released. The live auction will be limited only to participants who are in-person.

• It's not too late if you want to sign up to host a party, event or experience that other Imai families can sign up to attend! Submit your party via this interest form: https://forms.gle/M1YRrGujudPoVeVR9 

• The sooner you submit your participation form, the more likely you’ll secure the date you want.

• Or perhaps you want to donate a silent auction item? If you have an item or an event you want to include in the auction please email us at auction@imaipta.org.

• HELP WANTED: A volunteer (or volunteers) to do outreach to businesses, both ones we've worked with before and new ones, if you can. Please email auction@imaipta.org if you can help! Tasks include:

• Edit and send already made template emails asking if they'd like to donate items for the auction or if they'd like to pay for advertisement

• Follow up

• Collect advertising funds and ad copy for the catalogue

• Collect donations and descriptions of business & donated item for catalogue
