NEWS and UPDATES May 4, 2023 |
Important and time-sensitive stuff this week! Read on below for more details about:
- Teacher/Staff Appreciation each day NEXT WEEK
- Eaglefest reminder and volunteer sign-ups (Please help!)
Teacher/Staff Appreciation Next Week: Next week (May 8-12) is Teacher/Staff Appreciation week! There was a mention in this week's Gazette with suggestions, but you may have also received an email from your room parents with different things to do/bring each day next week. Please consider showing the Imai teachers & staff how much we appreciate them by doing any or all of the following:
- MONDAY: "Thanks for Helping Us Blossom" - bring two flowers (store-bought or from your garden)
- TUESDAY: "Thanks for Being One Smart Cookie!" - bring two wrapped snacks
or... make a thank-you card for teachers & instructional assistance - WEDNESDAY: "Thanks for Being Sharp and To-The-Point!" - bring some type of school/office supply they can use in the classroom.
and/or... make a point to say "Good morning!" to your teacher - THURSDAY: "Thanks for a Fruitful Year!" - bring a whole piece of fruit
and/or... give the teacher/aides a complement, or draw a picture for them - FRIDAY: "Thanks for Your Hard Work, You Deserve to Relax!" - bring an item to pamper your teacher (lotion, soap, spa-type product, etc.)
and/or... bring another packaged sweet treat!
And finally... if you like, consider contributing some snacks or drinks for our staff lounge! They love waters, sodas (diet and non-diet), sparkling waters, etc. and snacks like chips, chocolate, pretzels, cookies. Just bring items to the office anytime. Thank you!
EAGLEFEST: Mark Your Calendar for Friday, May 19, 5-8pm. We loved it last year and can't wait for it again! Our spring Carnival Eaglefest is right around the corner. This year's event will include face painting, inflatable bouncy houses, a climbing wall, arts and crafts, carnival games, cotton candy, a cake walk, music and karaoke, and food/drink available for purchase.
Thanks to Imai PTA, the event is FREE TO ATTEND and all activities (except food/drink purchases) are also free!
Please Pitch In to Help! Eaglefest is run entirely by Imai parents. We ask every attending family to take a single volunteer shift to help make it all run smoothly. Most shifts are just 30 minutes long and are super simple! And if you've always wanted to make cotton candy or share your artistic talents thru face painting, this is your chance.
We've got about 150 slots to fill, so please sign up today and help us get our sign-up sheet complete. See the openings here on Konstella, and thanks for helping us to have a great event for all!
More details about Eaglefest coming home in the May 12 Friday Folders, and a Karaoke sign-up sheet will be coming next week as well. We hope to see everyone there!
