Did you know that the PTA is all volunteer-led and works year-round to support our school, strengthen the Imai community, and have fun doing it? We hope you sense the joy of the Imai community at the Imai Picnic, Back to School Night, and the upcoming Parents Night Out. So, join us, get involved, jump in, and make this your community! THIS WEEK’s HIGHLIGHTS:
- Back to School Picnic TONIGHT (Fri, Sept 6) at 5-6:30 pm. Bring your food and come hang out with other families while the kids spend the evening playing foursquare, bubbles, chalk, or on the playground. And, if you need more reasons to come…
- *RESCHEDULED* Back To School Night (Tu, Sept 10): Parents only; there are 2 sessions - 5:30-6 pm and 6:10-6:40 pm - which cover the same information.
- REMINDER: Tu, Sept 10 is a MINIMUM DAY - dismissal at 11:55 am
- Imai Showcase at MVWSD Board Meeting (Th, Sept 19 at 5:50 pm): Does your student want to help lead the Pledge of Allegiance or share a greeting in another language? If interested, please fill out this form.
- PTA Membership and MVEF Donation Drive: Join PTA today! Donate to MVEF today! Contest ends Sept 21. Step-by-step instructions and Leaderboard for class Popsicle Contest below!
- SAVE THE DATE:
- Friday, Oct 18: Parents Night Out (PTA Auction & Fundraiser), 6:30-11 pm at Levi’s Stadium. A fun kid-free night and a chance to sign-up for the ever popular Parent/Teacher hosted parties! More details to come. We are still looking for families to host parties and events to be auctioned off, please fill out this form by Oct 1st.

- How is PTA MEMBERSHIP DRIVE going?
- Total PTA members: Currently at 110. Join today so we can bump that number up to 300+!
- Donation stats: $10,612 (~27% of our $40k goal)
- TOP 5 Classrooms (by highest % of PTA members):
- Ms. McCullough (2nd grade, Rm 8) - 44%
- Ms. Ngo (3rd grade, Rm 9) - 42%
- Ms. Ramirez (Kinder, Rm 1) - 36%
- Ms. Schaefer (5th grade, Rm 16) - 35%
- Ms. Luongo/Ms. McClellan (3rd grade, Rm 6) - 33%
- How do I join?
- For new members:
- Go to this link and click “Join with email”
- Enter your name, email, and then create a password. Click “Sign up with Email”
- For membership type, select “Parent/Guardian” or another appropriate option
- Check out with credit card. Membership is $12 (+$1 convenience fee).
- To renew your membership:
- Log into Totem with your email and password
- Renew your membership
- For new members:
- How do I donate?
- Via Totem: When you become a member or renew your membership, you can add a donation
- Via employer giving portal (e.g. Benevity): Search for “Amy Imai Elementary PTA”, Tax ID:77-0492242, and don’t forget to request a match!
- Via check payable to “Amy Imai Elementary PTA”
