NEWS and UPDATES May 23, 2023 |
Hi parents! Just a couple quick things from Imai PTA this week:
- EAGLEFEST accolades
- LOST & FOUND is overflowing,
and what we're gonna do about it
EAGLEFEST RECAP: Thanks to all the planners, grade-level organizers and army of parent volunteers for a wonderful Eaglefest! We hope you and your family had an amazing time and we look forward to another great one next year.
Events like this are only possible because of parents who help out, so if you didn't get a chance to volunteer this year, we hope you will next time!
LOST & FOUND IS OVERFLOWING: There are so many lovely coats, jackets, water bottles, etc., overflowing into multiple boxes & bins. Please check THIS WEEK if you have items to reclaim. The last day to pick up Lost & Found items is this Friday, May 26.
What we're gonna do: This year we're partnering with the Refugee Resettlement Village, a local agency that helps new refugee families get settled with household goods, furniture and clothes. Instead of taking unclaimed Lost&Found items to Goodwill as we've done in the past, we're passing on the items to the Refugee Resettlement Village.
Can you help? We're seeking 3-4 volunteers who would be willing to wash and fold a load of laundry this coming weekend (May 27-29) so we can present our donations in a clean state. Please email president@imaipta.org if you can help!
Have a great week, and a nice Memorial Day holiday weekend!
