BACK TO SCHOOL EDITION

As the final quiet days of summer wind down, we want to extend a warm welcome to our entire Imai family.

A new school year brings fresh starts, new friendships, and inspiring moments. The PTA is here to support our students, empower our staff, and bring our community together every step of the way. As we count down the last week of break, here is your essential guide to hitting the ground running on day one. Read on for more details.

 

BACK TO SCHOOL IMAI PTA ACTIVITIES

  • Sun. August 9 (9am-12pm): School Beautification - Join us for this time honored tradition to help prepare the campus for students and to give our teachers a helping hand to set up their classrooms. Come for an hour, or stay for the day. This event is for the entire family, so students and siblings are welcome as well. Keep an eye out for sign-ups via Konstella (to be sent later today), which will help us distribute tasks. 

  • Mon. August 10 (5-6 pm): Orientation for Parents of New TK & Kinders - If you are new to Imai or know someone who is, there is an orientation session for parents at school. Held in the MUR by Principal Siam.

  • Tue. August 11 (8:30-9:30am): Orientation for Parents of New Grades 1-5 - Held in the MUR by Principal Siam.

  • Tue. August 11 (3-4 pm): Meet & Greet and PTA Popsicle Party - Drop by school to say hello to your new teachers! And, come by the PTA table for popsicles and more information on membership and how to be involved with the Imai community.

  • Wed. August 12: First Day of School - We are thrilled to welcome everyone back! Don't forget, it's a minimum day, so all classes are dismissed at 11:55am.

KONSTELLA UPDATES

Last year's content and classroom listings have been archived. We rely on YOU to help us create our new class lists, so when you learn your students' room assignments (via PowerSchool on Fri, Aug. 7), please update the information about your kids and place them into the correct Konstella classroom. Then, you can see who else is in those classes! Thank you for your help.

How to join Konstella: If you know a family new to Imai, invite them to join Konstella! 

Directions:

  1. Go to https://www.konstella.com/cd/XCAZGL (this is a specific link for Imai)

  2. Enter your email address

  3. Click “Join as a parent”

  4. Check your email for an invitation from Konstella, and Click “Join Imai Parents // Imai PTA”.

 

Graduated from Imai? You can add yourself to the “Imai Alumni” room! If you no longer wish to receive our Konstella updates, simply reply to this email and request removal.

 

SAVE THE DATE FOR THESE EVENTS

  • Principal’s Coffee: Fri, 8/14 8:15-9:15am (MUR) - Welcome back to school coffee for parents

  • Back To School Night: Wed, 8/26 - Parents, come meet your child(ren)’s teachers in their classrooms and find out what they’ll be learning this school year.

    • Session 1 - 5:30pm, Session 2 - 6:15pm (both sessions cover the same materials)

    • School is dismissed at 11:55am (minimum day schedule)

  • Back To School Picnic: Thu, 9/17 5-7pm - Grab a blanket, pack some food, and join other Imai families for a casual hangout at school.
