Hope everyone had a great spring break! Can you believe there are only 7 weeks left in the school year?! The PTA still has a lot lined up, so stay tuned for event updates on Konstella. 

International Festival - April 17th, 5-7:15pm

Our 3rd annual International Festival is happening tomorrow! This is one of our biggest events of the year, where we invite our incredibly diverse community to share their culture. There will additionally be a Filipino dance performance, starting at 6:45pm and a talk with Jose Antonio Vargas at 7:00pm. Don’t miss out! Besides attending, if you'd like to participate: 

• Bring a potluck dish to share! All contributions welcome- for details, sign up here or just add a dish to the "potluck table."

Square 1 Art Fundraiser - deadline to order is Friday, April 18th

For this fundraiser Ms. June helped students create a piece of artwork that was submitted by the PTA to Square One Art. They take your child's artwork and transfer it to gift items like coffee mugs, key chains etc. These are great gifts for mothers day and family members!

Your student should have received a catalog with their artwork. If you didn’t receive it, you can search for their catalog online:

• Simply search for your child's art using Art Search, and enter state, school name, and your student's name. Your student's art and code will appear, and you may order!

• If you are having trouble finding your child's artwork, please contact president@javargaspta.org

School-wide Playdate - Friday April 18th (4-6pm) - National Animal Cracker Day

Join us this Friday, April 18th, from 4:00pm to 6pm for a Vargas School-wide playdate to celebrate National Animal Cracker Day! Don’t forget to bring your water bottle to stay refreshed. We will provide some Animal Crackers Cookies to keep your energy up and also be selling Vargas School gear. See you on the playground!

New session of afterschool classes starting soon!

• Many afterschool classes are starting this week or next. There are two new classes this session: Zumba Kids on Tuesdays and Little Entrepreneurs on Wednesdays! They need a few more sign-ups for the class to continue, so sign-up now if interested!

Scholastic Book Fair (4/28 - 5/2)
