Mahalo (Thank you!) to all the volunteers and donors who have already signed-up for Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week (TSAW). Your donations and volunteer time will be greatly appreciated and we hope to share finished product pics of where your donations went to.
We still have some gaps in donations so please take note of this gentle reminder to sign-up. DEADLINE is TODAY!

If you have not had the opportunity to sign-up. Please look at your designated grade day for donations/volunteer events, spirit day dress, and links to post on your teacher and staff Kudoboards:
Monday, May 4: “The Early Birdie Beach Brunch” TK, Kindergarten, and 1st Grade Breakfast Donations sign-up here on Konstella and bring in to drop off near the front office tomorrow morning of Fri. 5/1. The deadline to sign up is Thu. 4/30 (today!).
Tuesday, May 5: “The Sip & Splash Cart” 2nd and 3rd Grade Beverage Donations sign-up here on Konstella for a drink ingredient to bring in to drop off near the front office tomorrow morning of Fri. 5/1. The deadline to sign up is Thu., 4/30 (today!).
Wednesday, May 6: “A Wave of Gratitude” ALL GRADES for teachers and ALL STAFF.
Kudoboards: Please have kids (and parents/caregivers - ALL) post on their respective teacher’s Kudoboard. You can find the entire list and links to each board here) and post by Tues., 5/5.
Spirit Day:
🏅Sunshine Awards: On the morning of May 6th, you will find parents handing out leis for your kids to give to teachers and staff. The leis will have sayings like, “Give this to a Vargas Teacher or Staff Member who has the brightest smile.” Please prep your kids to be ready to give the leis to teachers and staff who deserve these Sunshine Awards.
🏝️Get Dressed: Dress your kids up as summer vacationers (think hawaiian shirts, hula skirts, sunglasses or costumed in sunshine yellow!) As a class, you can coordinate kids dressing up in aloha shirts or by ordering yellow sunglasses and/or leis.
Thursday, May 7: “The Golden Hour Grill” PTA Sponsored Lunch
Friday, May 8: “Sun and Summer in a Bag” 4th and 5th Grade Personalized Surprise Take Home Beach Towel and Tote. Sign-up on Konstella to bring in a travel-size bottle of sunscreen or a cash donation of $10 by Tue., 5/5. The deadline to sign up is Mon., 5/4.
Sunday, May 3: Door Decoration We are kicking off TSAW on Monday morning with a surprise personalized door decoration that fits your teacher’s personalities or with the Sun-sational theme. Families will help design, assemble, and hang the door decoration on Sunday afternoon from 3-6pm on Sunday, 5/3. Class parents/caregivers must bring their own installation supplies such as chalk, scissors, tape, markers, decorations, etc.
