We’ve launched into a stellar week of celebrating our incredible Vargas crew!
Our teachers and staff truly are Out of This World! From sweet surprises to heartfelt Thank Yous, we’re beyond excited to shower them with the appreciation they deserve. We hope you’ve already felt the special vibes around campus. Our community has come together to make this celebration shine, and there’s still so much joy ahead. Gratitude is in orbit, and even the weather is cheering us on! It’s clear that this week in the Vargas Galaxy is under a lucky star.

A Big, Grateful Shout-Out to Our Enthusiastic Book Fair Team and All Volunteers!
We’re so grateful to Kristin, Ebru, Christine, Rachel, and all the wonderful volunteers for creating another inviting and exciting Book Fair experience for our Vargas Owls! Their visible enthusiasm for books and for bringing our community together through reading had a huge impact. We saw over $9,300 in sales and our highest student participation yet, with about 70% using their $10 vouchers. This success means more books in kids' hands and more funds (25% of sales!) coming back to our school. Thank you for sharing your love of books and making reading such a joyful, community-centered experience!

Jamba Juice School Sponsorship Contest
JA Vargas has been selected by our local Mountain View Jamba Juice Store for a school sponsorship contest, which is running from now until June 17, 2025. When students and their families make a purchase at the Mountain View location (1037 A, El Monte Ave, Mountain View), ask for a token to vote for our school. At the conclusion of the contest, the winning school, with the most tokens, will receive $500! This is a fantastic way to earn money for our school while enjoying a delicious treat!
