Welcome to your weekend update, Vargas Community! We want to extend a huge shout-out to the volunteers and families who made this year's Family Campout an absolute blast! Looking ahead, our final stretch of the year is packed with great events. Inside this week’s newsletter, you'll find details on our final PTA meeting and board elections, how to get dinner sorted while supporting the school at The Habit Burger Dine Out, and vital volunteer slots for our June 2nd Book Giveaway and the last-day-of-school Ice Cream Social. Dine Out at the Habit Burger and Grill 🍟

On Monday, June 1 from 4:00 - 9:00pm, dine out at the Habit Burger and Grill (1040 Grant Rd) to help raise funds. 20% of net sales will benefit the PTA! 

From 4:00 - 9:00PM, enter code GIVEBACK when placing your order at the in-restaurant kiosk, the Habit Burger & Grill Mobile app, or habitburger.com. Or, simply present the attached printed flyer or show this offer on your smart phone to the cashier upon ordering. 

Vargas Campout Thank you!

The Vargas Campout was another success! There were s’mores, games, crafts, and fun under the stars. A huge thank you to our event planners Ting, Ashley, Saty, Kim, Sulkie, Sandy, Tina and Eshana.

Volunteers Needed for Our Book Giveaway! 📚✨

We are hosting a Book Giveaway on Tuesday, June 2, and we would love your help to make it a success! Whether you can stay for an hour or the whole day, your time makes a big difference.

How you can help:

• Setup (8:00–10:00 a.m.): Help us unbox and display books on the tables.

• Recess & Lunch (Optional): Assist students as they choose their books and keep the tables tidy.

📢 Family Invitation: Don't forget, all families are invited to come by at 2:40 p.m. to select books together!

Cómo puede ayudar:

• Preparación (8:00–10:00 a.m.): Ayúdenos a desempacar y acomodar los libros en las mesas.

• Recreo y almuerzo (Opcional): Oriente a los estudiantes mientras eligen sus libros y ayúdenos a mantener las mesas ordenadas.
