The Scholastic Book Fair and Walk ‘n’ Roll Walkathon are coming up and WE NEED YOUR HELP! See below for more information on how to get involved!

Walk ‘n’ Roll Walkathon is Coming October 2!

We need your help! Our Vargas Walkathon is coming up on Friday, October 2, from 3–6pm and we have 88 openings for volunteers. From course setup to handing out (or spraying) lap prizes, help us to make this an unforgettable event for our kids! Sign up on Konstella!

This is our biggest PTA fundraiser of the year, helping provide beloved programs and events like Science Night, field trips, assemblies, Movie Night, International Festival, and more. It’s also a super fun afternoon for students and families!

How to participate (3 quick steps):

1. Start collecting pledges and donations:

• Add your student to 99 Pledges and optionally set up a video message to share with friends and family.

• Have your child ask friends, family, and members of their community to support them. Every little bit helps!

• Cash or check is greatly appreciated to help avoid credit card processing fees. A collection form and baggie will be sent home with Friday Folders.

2. Submit the Family & PTA Participation Waiver: Please complete online form here or return the paper form with Friday Folders by TODAY, Friday, September 18.

3. Get ready to Walk ‘n’ Roll! The PTA will provide a free Walkathon T-shirt for each child to wear on the day of the event. 

Prizes!
Students can earn individual prizes for donations, and classes can win classroom rewards based on participation and fundraising, so every registration and pledge helps your class!

¡El Walkathon Walk ‘n’ Roll se acerca el 2 de octubre! 

¡Necesitamos su ayuda! Nuestro Caminatón de Vargas se acerca el viernes 2 de octubre, de 3:00 p. m. a 6:00 p. m., y tenemos 88 vacantes para voluntarios. Desde la preparación del recorrido hasta la entrega (¡o rociado!) de los premios por vuelta, ¡ayúdenos a hacer de este un evento inolvidable para nuestros niños! ¡Inscríbase en Konstella!

Esta es nuestra recaudación de fondos de la PTA más grande del año, la cual ayuda a brindar programas y eventos muy queridos como la Noche de Ciencias, excursiones, asambleas, Noche de Película, el Festival Internacional y mucho más. ¡También es una tarde súper divertida para los estudiantes y las familias!

Cómo participar (3 pasos rápidos):

1. Comience a recolectar promesas de donación y donativos:

• Agregue a su estudiante a 99 Pledges y, de manera opcional, configure un mensaje de video para compartir con amigos y familiares.

• Pídale a su hijo(a) que le pida apoyo a amigos, familiares y miembros de su comunidad. ¡Cada pequeña ayuda cuenta!

• Se agradece enormemente el dinero en efectivo o los cheques para evitar las tarifas de procesamiento de tarjetas de crédito. Se enviará un formulario de recolección y una bolsa ziploc a casa en la Carpeta de los Viernes (Friday Folders).

2. Envíe la Exención de Participación de la Familia y la PTA: Por favor, complete el formulario en línea aquí o devuelva el formulario en papel en la Carpeta de los Viernes antes del viernes 18 de septiembre.

3. ¡Prepárese para el Walk ‘n’ Roll! La PTA le dará una camiseta gratis del Walkathon a cada niño para que la use el día del evento. 

¡Premios! Los estudiantes pueden ganar premios individuales por sus donaciones, y los salones de clases pueden ganar recompensas grupales según la participación y la recaudación de fondos, ¡así que cada registro y promesa de donación ayuda a su salón!
