Dear Vargas Families,

Happy Friday, Vargas Families! As we sprint toward the finish line of the school year, our hearts are incredibly full. First, a massive thank you to everyone who made Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week such a beautiful, music-filled success—our educators felt showered in love! We also want to give a huge shout-out to our brilliant chess players and recap the wildly fun assembly our students enjoyed this week. Looking ahead, our calendar is packed with exciting year-end traditions, from this weekend’s Family Camp Out to our final PTA meeting and the upcoming Book Giveaway. Read on for all the highlights, volunteer opportunities, and ways to get involved as we wrap up an amazing year together!

Heartfelt Thanks: Our Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week Success!

On behalf of the entire school community, we want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who volunteered their time and contributed donations to make this year’s Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week such a resounding success. Also a HUGE thank you to the committee who helped plan it, Hazel, Clarissa and Elena!

Because of your incredible support and generosity, we were able to provide a continuous week of celebration, ensuring our teachers and staff felt truly appreciated for the hard work they do every day. It was wonderful to see the community come together to honor our educators in such a meaningful way.

We are hosting a Book Giveaway on Tuesday, June 2, and we would love your help to make it a success! Whether you can stay for an hour or the whole day, your time makes a big difference.

How you can help:

• Setup (8:00–10:00 a.m.): Help us unbox and display books on the tables.

• Recess & Lunch (Optional): Assist students as they choose their books and keep the tables tidy.

📢 Family Invitation: Don't forget, all families are invited to come by at 2:40 p.m. to select books together!
