The February newsletter is out! Please see the attachment.
Our annual Read-a-Thon starts this week on Thursday, February 28th at the school's Literacy Night, which runs 5-7pm. The Read-a-Thon will run through Saturday, March 16th. The Read-a-Thon is not just a literacy event, it is our largest fundraiser that pretty much sets the PTO budget (to cover things like teacher/staff resource requests, our $1,500 annual gift for carnival rides at Family Day, teacher/staff appreciation, student prizes (e.g. at the STEM fair)).
You should have just received an email from 99pledges.com inviting you to your students' pages; if you did not you can set them up at this link. We will be helping people register online during Literacy Night and at our upcoming Read-a-Thon events at the Woodridge Neighborhood Public Library, where your kids can get credit for their time spent reading:
6-7pm Tuesday 3/5 - Story Time
1-4pm Sunday 3/10 - Reading Session
6-7pm Tuesday 3/12 - Story Time
2:30-4:30pm Saturday, 3/16 - Reading Session
Keep an eye out for more information, pledge envelopes, and a little gift to your students sent out in folders later this week. Come stop by our table at Literacy Night!
