JP Garden "Harvest and Play" Weeks
Harvest and Play in the JP Garden!
Your children have worked to create a thriving garden as part of the JP Garden! We are looking for families who would like to tend the garden and enjoy its bounty for one week at a time (Monday-Sunday) while school is not in session this summer. This does NOT mean you have to take care of the garden every day -- only 2-3 days, depending on the rain. Our fantastic garden educator, Deb Gries, will send you an email letting you know what should be happening in the garden during your week. The school's summer office hours are 7:30 a.m. - 3 p.m., Mon.-Fri.
During the one week shift:
• Water the garden 3 times per week (less if it rains and more if its really hot!)
• Weed if necessary
• Pick and enjoy vegetables, herbs, fruits, and flowers!
There is a hose attached to the right hand wall of the garden, and there are watering cans nearby. Please remember to turn off the hose when you are through. Thank you for your help, and enjoy the garden!
