Dear JP Parents, thanks to your generous dues drive donations, we are able to offer a series of parent webinars this year on social and emotional learning during the pandemic.
On some of these events , the JP PTO is collaborating with the other elementary school PTO’s to bring you a Speaker Series. Our first speaker will be family therapist George Scott, EdS, LMFT on October 5, 2020 at 7pm.
George is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist known throughout New Jersey as an energetic and engaging speaker. His expertise helps bring professional staff and parents to a greater understanding of their role in raising healthy children. George believes, “All adults have the power within them to improve the lives of children.”
George is also certified in Post Traumatic Stress Management (PTSM) and is a state wide Coordinator for the Traumatic Loss Coalition. In addition, George Scott was a Training and Consultation Specialist for the New Jersey Youth Suicide Prevention Project, which was managed by Rutgers University Behavior Health Care (UBHC) and former adjunct faculty member at The College of New Jersey.
George participated in a speaker series hosted by Princeton Public Schools two years ago discussing how to raise healthy children. We will have him speak now about resilience through traumatic change for ourselves, our children and community.
