Upcoming SEL Webinar - Dr. Nathalie Edmonds - "Mindful of Race" - November 16 at 7:30 PM
Tue, Nov 10 9:10am

Dear JP Parents,

As part of our ongoing SEL Webinar series, we are presenting a webinar by Dr. Nathalie Edmonds, "Mindful of Race" on Monday, November 16 at 7:30 PM.  Please save the date!  Zoom details will follow shortly and will be available in the calendar as well.

This webinar will focus on the following issues:

How do you discuss race with your child? We live in a time that is moving away from colorblindness or neutrality about racism toward anti-racism. Mindfulness can be a path to exploring our stories through the lens of race, learning our biases, and becoming better equipped to invite our children, friends, and families into these conversations in a compassionate way.

Led by Dr. Nathalie Edmond, psychologist, yoga teacher, and anti-racism consultant.

The event is part of a series of social emotional learning webinars jointly sponsored by PPS's elementary school PTOs.

For those parents who have missed previous webinars and who wanted to view the previous recordings, we provide the links here:
