To all Parents: as new Clubs Chairs this year, we want you to know that we see you. We know what you went through on Wednesday night. We see the 5 screens open at 7.55pm; we see the cancelled board meetings, the dinner left to burn in the oven, the car stopping traffic on Rt1; the fingers hovering at 7.59pm; the neighbors called in to refresh screen number 6, just in case. We also feel you. We feel the anguish, the pain, as little Johnny is waitlisted for Eyes of the Wild at 3 milliseconds past 8pm. The guilt, the failure as you tell darling Serendipity she didn’t make it into Garden Club for the 5th season running, and breaking it to little Rupert that maybe he just wasn’t destined to be all that Creative with Ms Crider. We see you.
