Thank you for joining us on Monday evening for our annual FALL JP PICNIC!
The PTO is honored to plan, sponsor and host this family favorite celebration to kick off the school year. This year we were able to remove all barriers and host our picnic entirely free to our school community. We hope you were able to dance a little, chat a little and enjoy yourself a little. We sure did!
Your support of the PTO is so important! Through monetary donations and volunteer hours, events like this are possible each year at Johnson Park. We need your help to continue hosting the family friendly events, artists and professional in residencies, teachers grants, Trunk or Treat, student orientations and graduation ceremonies you know and love at JP.
Please consider volunteering with the PTO. You can find many different opportunities on Konstella. Also, please consider donating to our PTO drive - your support reaches each and every student, staff member and admin at Johnson Park this year. Thank you for your support!

October is a great month to give back to others with JP.
Costume Drive and Warm Clothing Drive - You can drop off your gently used costumes and warm clothing on Wednesdays and Fridays in the morning drop off line to special guests or any time in the front foyer. (October 2, 4, 9, 11)
Socktober is taking place this month - donate new packages of socks to be given to a local shelter. We hear Principal Sheridan will dye his hair green if students collect 700 pairs of socks! (Thru October 30)
Trunk or Treat is coming on Oct 20 - please consider signing up to host a trunk this year!

Go Green
Did you know that Johnson Park has been recognized by Sustainable Jersey in Schools? Ms. Hobart is joining the contest with our friends at the other PPS schools and Valley Road to compete for a Powerdown Pizza Party. Ask your child how they plan to conserve energy in your home!

Sibling Photos Sign Up Sheet!
Garden State on Your Plate is a series of seasonal produce tastings in the cafeterias at Princeton Public Schools. The emphasis is on a New Jersey produce item, its growth requirements, the different ways it can be prepared, and how the flavor can be altered by the chef and the students. Students learn about farming, climate, and cooking, and they gain flavor power - the ability to personalize their item using salt, and citrus. The tastings illustrate and amplify curriculum in the classroom, in the cafeteria, and in the district’s Edible Gardens. We are looking for parent volunteers for our first date : October 24
