*LIBRARY VOLUNTEERS - NEW DATES ADDED"
A big thanks to all the parents who have already given a bit of their time to help at the library.
Please consider giving a few hours of your time if you can to help with the overhauling of the library during the month of November and December!
Also, if you have gently used books that your kiddos are no longer reading, the JP library would be very happy to have them! You can make your donations either by dropping your book at the school reception or by giving them to your child on his/her library day!

Dear Parents and Caregivers,
This year, the JP Library will undergo a major reorganization in the shelving of its books!
First up is fiction books!
In order to further help our children to easily find books they like to read, Ms. Henderson, our
wonderful librarian, has decided to now classify the fiction books first by genre, and then by
author names. Currently, the fiction books are classified by author names only.
The “weeding out” of the non-fiction books
In order for Ms. Henderson to order new collections of non-fiction books, there is a need to first
make space on the bookshelves. In order to do that, over 900 books will potentially need to be
retired from the database/library based on the criterion that they have not been borrowed
since 2018.
Volunteers needed!
As you can imagine, this is not the job for one person. We want Ms. Henderson to continue
reading exciting books to our children, helping them find books or teaching them how to, so we
need to have volunteers coming to the library to help reshuffle the fiction and non-fiction
books based on lists she has prepared.
If you want to give a few hours here and there, please complete the sign-up sheet below. You
are welcome to choose any time periods, including the time period where your child will be in
the library! Your help will be greatly appreciated!
