Welcome Back to School JP families!
We are so happy to have your family back at Johnson Park School this year. As we welcome our newest students we are asking for volunteer parents/guardians to help make their first week at JP as smooth as possible.
Our teachers and principal have asked for these two spots to be filled:
LUNCH TIME:
- Tasks: Help students to open milk cartons or food packages as they prepare to eat lunch. Help students to identify what on their tray goes in the compost, in the recycling and in the landfill bins. Clean the tables if Mr. Jim, our custodian, needs help to set a clean cafeteria for the next group. There are six seatings at lunch time, each one lasting about 20 minutes.
- Time: between 10:30am and 1:30pm.
- Number of volunteers needed: between 3-4
AFTERNOON DISMISSAL:
- Tasks: Begin dismissal partnering with classrooms that do not have an instructional assistant to help get students to either their bus or the pick-up area. When buses leave, help get students to the appropriate vehicle. Parents will have students' names posted in their vehicle to aide in matching students to parents.
- Time: between 2:40pm and 3:15pm.
- Number of volunteers needed: between 4-6
