Hello Kaiser Elementary Families:
I will be reaching out to you frequently with updates and a “hello”. I am also going to be recording a series of brief YouTube videos to keep connected to our kiddos. Here is a link to a video I recorded today. Can you share it with your child(ren) when you get a chance? (If you missed yesterday’s, it is here.)
I want to appreciate Kaiser teachers who on Friday provided all students with material to take home and are now reaching out to all families with on-line learning resources. Kaiser staff are all still working (although remotely) during this time and are all here in service to you.
We had announced that the building would be open from 8 AM - 4 PM tomorrow for families still needing to pick up materials. As I was preparing to send this message, it was announced that Bay Area counties will be issuing a “shelter in place” order that will likely result in us not being able to open the school. I am sorry for this inconvenience, but please remember that online resources and on-line learning support from teachers are still available.
If you have any suggestions, concerns, or want to give kudos to a Kaiser staff, please feel free to reach out via email (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Getting and giving support
I will continue to use my Konstella messages to share resources with Kaiser families. If your family has a specific need, or if you are able to lend a hand during this time, please call (510-549-4900) or email (email@example.com) or share this information with your child’s teacher.
Food distribution: “Grab and Go” meals are available for free at a number of OUSD schools on Monday and Thursday mornings. More information is here.
Other Alameda County resources. Here is a link to a recently up-dated list of Alameda County resources for families needing food or shelter support.
