3-20-20 Kaiser Elem Principal Check-In
Fri, Mar 20 7:34pm

Hello Kaiser Elementary Families.

Well, this is the end of a week like no other.   I have so much respect and gratitude for you ALL as we have all been navigating new challenges the best we can.

We have some cool new in-house Kaiser Elementary resources to share.  Eli, our awesome Kindergarten Orff teacher, has uploaded music videos in this folder.  They are especially for our kinder kiddos, but all are welcome to check them out!  Mrs. Hilary Jackson has uploaded fun learning games for students.   Ms. Virtue added two new art videos. (A studio visit.  And a Portrait painting process.)  And 4th grader, Romare, shared his daily schedule to inspire others!

Monday, our “Kaiser Elementary Family Resource” page is going live.   This is a 1-page Google Doc with links to folders for each classroom teacher and enrichment teacher.  This week you have received a LOT of information and resources. Several of you have reached out with a request to consolidate this, and I know all of you are seeing your email inboxes fill fast!  The intention of this page is to have an easy starting point to find it all.

I have also created a confidential document accessible to staff to help us assess how connected each of our students is to the independent work we are sharing and the technology to access this.   The COVID-19 response is disproportionately impacting many families, and at Kaiser we want to do our part to ensure that no one is left behind with their learning.

Here is a link to today’s video I recorded for students (plus a list of all family and kid messages this week.).   I’ll be back with another message Monday!

All the best,

~ Dennis Guikema, Principal
