Happy Leap Day Kaiser Families!

Minimum Days Tuesday - Friday:

As a reminder, this week Tuesday - Friday, we will have minimum day dismissal at 1:30 PM to make possible teacher-family conferences.  (Only Monday, March 2nd, will be a 3:00 PM dismissal this week.) Adventure Time will be available immediately at dismissal all days.

Exciting experiences for kinder-3rd this week:

We have two very special and highly engaging opportunities for our younger scholars this week.  On Monday our kinder, 1st, and 2nd graders will participate in a special “Pedestrian Safety Rodeo” sponsored by Safe Routes to School.   I hope you take this opportunity to continue the conversation at home about being safe when walking and biking around town.

On Thursday the East Bay Children’s Theater will be at Kaiser with a special performance of Cinderella Gone to the Dogs! for our kinder-3rd grade students.  Families are welcome to attend the show which will begin at 9:15!

Keeping safe from sickness:

While there are no known cases of the coronavirus in Alameda County, the news of this provides an important reminder to protect ourselves from illness.   We will be reminding all students this week of the importance of washing hands with soap after every bathroom visit and to sneeze into their elbows. We are checking daily to make sure the soap dispensers are topped off.   I hope you’ll continue this important safety conversation at home.

And please do not forget to vote this Tuesday.   In addition to the presidential primary on Tuesday, there are other important local and state candidates and issues, including a state proposition that would bring additional resources for school facilities.

Have a great week!
