On Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 10 AM - 1 PM at Berkeley's Anna Head Alumnae Hall, UC Berkeley Society of Women Engineers will be hosting its annual Engineering Day, a free halloween themed science engineering carnival. It will be a fun filled event where K-3rd graders and their parents are invited to participate and learn about science and technology with hands on activities and experiments, some of which they can take home with them! The event is relatively free-form, so it’s no problem if someone can’t make it for the full time.
In past years, Engineering Day has been a blast for everyone who attended! The event consists of booths led by Berkeley students who guide the students through a science activity. Last year there were many booths of different activities, ranging from making slime to creating DIY lava lamps. When the students are done with a booth, they are free to go to a different activity to try that one as well.
We would also like to have one parent with every student or group of students (up to three kids per adult) attend our event to ensure every child's safety and keep the activities running smoothly!
We would appreciate it if you could forward this information to your students and their parents, and to ask them to fill out this form by 11:59 PM on October 20th if they plan to attend this fun event. Again, it is okay if someone can’t attend the event for the entire time. Even if they would just like to drop by, please tell them to fill out this form so we can get an estimate of the number of people to expect.
Feel free to contact me back at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions!
Thank you, and looking forward to seeing you soon!
