Below is the transcript of a robo-call sent Saturday, April 4, 2020.
Hello Kaiser Elementary Families.
We were all saddened with the news Wednesday night that schools will remain closed through the end of this school year. As hard as this news is, we know it is the best for our community’s health. I appreciate you all doing your part to keep your families and our community safe.
I want to share my deepest appreciation to Kaiser teachers for their on-going support for students and families. As we return from Spring Break on Monday, this virtual connection and support for learning will continue. All of our messages and learning materials are linked to a single page which can be found in the green banner at www.KaiserElementary.org.
This Wednesday we again are distributing Chromebooks for families who need them. We have 70 Chromebooks for a school of 288, so at this time we are limiting one Chromebook per family, and we are asking families that already have similar technology at home to only check out a Chromebook if needed. Wednesday Chromebook distribution will be from 9 - 11 AM and 5 - 7 PM. Please follow social distancing protocols.
OUSD continues to distribute meals, free of cost, at a number of school sites across Oakland. You can find more information at www.ousd.org.
If your child or family has any needs, please reach out to me or their teacher. We are here to help connect you to resources.
I will continue to send messages to Kaiser families and YouTube videos to our kids on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays via Konstella. If you are not signed up for Konstella, please go to www.Konstella.com and click “find your school” in the top right corner.
Sending love and well wishes from my family to yours.
