Get out your running shoes, Monte Vista families!

You are invited to run/walk with us at our Annual Turkey Trot on Wednesday, November 23rd!  

This event emphasizes lifelong health, quality time with loved ones, and doing our personal best.

This month in Physical Education, students are learning about cardiorespiratory endurance, pacing strategies while jogging, pedometers, and the many benefits of exercise.  Students are working hard to earn those recommended 12,000 steps per day!  The turkey trot is a great opportunity for students to practice these skills with you.  

Our Turkey Trot schedule:

7:45-8:20 – 2nd & 3rd

8:30-9:05 – 1st, Kinder, & PreK

9:15-9:50 – 4th & 5th

Students and families should wear active clothing & tennis shoes and bring a water bottle on the day of the Trot.  You must sign in at the South Gate with a photo I.D.  We recommend carpooling with others to help with parking. 

Volunteers are needed to support such a large event.
